Why spend so much money on harmful, expensive chemical cleaning products when vinegar – which you probably already have
somewhere in your kitchen – will do the job?
The uses of vinegar are endless:
- Clean and disinfect countertops
- Clean carpet stains
- Keep those pesky ants away
- Clean windows and wood paneling
- Remove strong odors
Vinegar is great for laundry, too. Put in 1/2 cup to make colors brighter and decrease the amount of lint produced at the end of the cycle.
Finally, our favorite green use of vinegar: drain cleaner. Don’t spend cash on those harmful chemical drain cleaners. Pour 1/2 cup of baking soda into your clogged drain, then 1/2 cup of vinegar and watch it fizz and bubble (fun, isn’t it?). Wait a few minutes and then rinse with hot water. Voila! Your drain should now be clear.
